It's no secret that May 30th was a big day at Atlas Obscura HQ—the biggest day, Obscura Day, where we held around 165 events all over the world. And since we could only physically go to less than, say, 2 percent of the events, we contacted around 3,200 attendees (!) to ask them to submit their best pictures. The response was heartening: we got over 100 photos submitted, all demonstrating that Obscura Day really was the most interesting day in the world.
But three photos stood out! Without further ado, here our winners.
1. San Fernando Valley Relics in Chatsworth, CA by Nolana Poon.
2. International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago, IL by Logan Moore.
3. Mount Hollywood Hike, Griffith Park, CA by Aaron Clute.
